Last Thursday, September 1, gas prices fell below $4 in Arizona for the first time in months. When gas hit an average of $3.99/gallon Thursday, it was a sigh of relief for many Arizonians who had experienced record high gas prices earlier this year. In June, gas prices hit $5.388/gallon which was the highest recorded price in state history.

Today, average gas prices across the state remain $3.99. If you are still on the hunt for cheaper gas, according to gasbuddy.com, these gas stations may offer the cheapest prices in your area:

  • ARCO: Prices start at $3.36 per gallon for stations in central Phoenix.
  • 76: Prices start at $3.43 per gallon for stations in central Phoenix.
